What is a pili nut?

As most people might hear mistakenly, the pili nut isn't a peanut. It is way more nutritious as its a superfood in magnesium, and plus it taste better than a peanut.

Where does it come from?

Our pili nuts come from Bicol, a volcanic area in the Philippines. With land resources being contaminated by industrialized farming methods and over-processing - it depletes the soil of bioavailable vitamins and minerals. Our pili nuts are nutrient-rich because they grow on these volcanic soils.

What are the benefits of magnesium?

Other than water, oxygen, and food, magnesium may just be the most important element, which is why it's been dubbed "The Master Mineral." Magnesium is an essential mineral responsible for carrying out over 300 vital biochemical reactions, including protein synthesis, energy production, bone formation, cell creation, activation of B vitamins, the function and relaxation of muscles, as well systems. Hence you can imagine how being deficient in magnesium could cause many health problems.

What's special about Pili Pushers' pili nuts?

We take great care to ensure that the pili nuts we bring to your table (or couch) is as pure as nature intends it to be. We ensure that all the nuts are properly activated and dehydrated to enhance and lock in their nutritional value, and also packed without any preservatives (which explains their short shelf life). It is also because of one of our founder's experience with cancer, that we also developed flavours that are high in antioxidants and antimicrobial - but still absolutely scrumptious!

Where do you ship to?

Currently we provide shipping for Singapore, and we do also provide shipping internationally.

What are your shipping policies?

We strive to deliver your order as soon as possible. For international orders, your order might be subjected to import taxes and/or customs duties according to your local regulations. You may also be required to pay a brokerage (handling) fee for the shipment. These charges are separate from our shipping fees, and you will be billed directly for those charges.

About Pilinuts candies

Here at Michelle Chaves Atondo Pilinut Candies we are like everybody else, we love great tasting foods. But more often than not these foods are harmful to our health. This is why we seek to bring in healthy and delicious produce, because we believe food is like nature’s health supplement – it can help us bring about greater health. Through our recent travels to the Philippines, we had the opportunity to sample the amazing pili nut. This led us to visit the peninsular Bicol region of the Philippines, and meeting a community of independent farmers who grow these nuts on volcanic soils. The whole process from harvesting, to extracting the kernel, to dehydration is done by hand – it doesn’t get any more dedicated than this. We love the pili nuts so much; we thought we bring you a whole range of pili nut products! Our pili nuts are activated – which means they are pre-sprouted to increase the natural enzymes minerals and nutrients; and then they are gently dehydrated to lock in these benefits. Our pili nuts are extremely rich in magnesium due to the volcanic soil they grow on – and they have a delicious crisp yet creamy texture. There are many recipes for pili nuts – some have been a close-kept secret for many years and some are family recipes.
